What is Epilespy?

 

Epilepsy neurological condition with the underlying tendency of the brain to produce sudden bursts of electrical energy that disrupt other brain functions. These sudden bursts cause seizures.

 

There are several types of Epilepsy, with different triggers and types of seizures.

 

Two types of seizures:

* Tonic Clonic (Grand Maul)

* Absence (Partial or Petite)

 

My type of epilepsy is called Eyelid Myoclonic Epilepsy. I have both types, but mostly absence seizures.Mine is very sensitive to bright light & difficult treat.

 

Epilepsy is often thought of as a condition of childhood, but it can develop at any time of life.

 

There are 200,000 new cases every year.
